Terms of Service

1. The service

Howeyah lets you search for and buy a .cv domain name, build a personal web page (including from your CV, with AI help), and publish that page on your domain or at a howeyah.cv address.

Some features may be added, changed or removed over time. We'll give reasonable notice before removing something you've paid for.

2. Your account

• You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. Tell us straight away at help@howeyah.cv if you think someone else has access.
• You must be at least 18, or use Howeyah with a parent or guardian who accepts these terms for you.
• One person may not create accounts to get around a suspension.

3. Domain names

• Howeyah is a reseller. .cv domains are registered through ola.cv, and your domain is registered with you as the registrant.
• Your registration is also subject to the .cv registry's policies, including eligibility, reserved and prohibited names, accurate contact details, acceptable use, and domain disputes: pages.ola.cv.
• Disputes about a domain name, such as trademark claims, are handled under the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP): icann.org/udrp. You agree to take part in that process if a complaint is made about your domain.
• Search results show availability and price at that moment. A name isn't yours until payment succeeds and registration completes. If someone else registers it first, or the registry's price for it goes up before we register it, we refund you in full.
• You must give accurate registrant details. False details can lead to the registry suspending or cancelling the domain.
• If you want to move your domain to another provider, contact us and we'll help, subject to the registry's rules.

4. Prices, payment and renewal

• Prices are in Egyptian pounds and include what you pay us for the first year. The price depends on the name (short and premium names cost more) and is shown before you pay.
• Our prices follow the registry's fees in US dollars and the current exchange rate, so renewal prices may differ from the first-year price. We show the renewal price before you pay.
• Payments are processed by Paymob by card or mobile wallet. Your bank or wallet provider may charge its own fees.
• Domains don't renew automatically. We remind you before expiry, and you renew by paying the renewal price.
• If you don't renew, your domain expires and your page stops loading on it. For 30 days after expiry you can still renew; after that the name may be released and registered by someone else.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

5. Your content

• You own the content you add to Howeyah. You give us a licence to host, copy, display, translate and format it, only to run the service and show your page to visitors, search engines and AI assistants.
• You're responsible for your content. It must be accurate and must not infringe anyone's rights, including copyright, trademarks and privacy.
• Only upload another person's personal data (for example in references or photos) if you're allowed to.

6. AI features

AI can extract information from your CV and suggest wording. It can make mistakes or leave things out. Check everything before you publish; you're responsible for what appears on your page.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use Howeyah or your domain to:

• break the law, or help anyone else do so;
• impersonate a person or business, or mislead people about who you are;
• publish content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, or that exploits children;
• send spam, phish, spread malware, or host scams or illegal gambling;
• infringe intellectual property or privacy rights;
• scrape, overload, probe or bypass the security or limits of the service, or misuse other users' contact details.

We may remove content, suspend a page or close an account that breaks these rules, and we may report illegal activity. Serious or repeated breaches may also be reported to the registry, which can suspend the domain. Where possible we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond. Suspension for a breach isn't grounds for a refund.

8. Availability

We work to keep Howeyah running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We depend on third parties such as the registry, hosting and payment providers, and there may be planned maintenance.

9. Liability

To the extent Egyptian law allows, Howeyah is provided "as is", and we're not liable for indirect losses such as lost opportunities, profits or data. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights under Egypt's Consumer Protection Law (Law No. 181 of 2018).

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Howeyah and delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your page but doesn't cancel a domain already registered in your name; it stays registered until it expires.

We may end or suspend your access if you seriously break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop providing the service. If we stop the service without any fault on your part, we'll refund the unused part of your current domain year or help you transfer the domain.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in your account before they take effect. If you keep using Howeyah after that, the new terms apply.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem. If we can't, the competent courts of Cairo will have jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have to use consumer protection bodies. Domain name disputes follow the UDRP described above.
